cbec and EcoRestore

This video is an excellent summary of the California Natural Resources Agency’s EcoRestore initiative, the goal of which is to help coordinate and advance at least 30,000 acres of critical habitat restoration in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta by 2020. This is made possible through funding by the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the California Department of Water Resources. cbec staff has worked with these organizations on a whopping half of the 30 projects that comprise the breadth of EcoRestore work to date (please refer to this map). So far, we’ve applied our expertise to fish passage improvement, floodplain restoration, setback levee, and tidal restoration projects for EcoRestore, and will continue to do so for years to come!
