Janice Weldon MS

Ecohydrologist I

As an ecohydrologist at cbec, Janice Weldon supports hydraulic and hydrologic model development for a wide variety of stream restoration, enhancement, and monitoring efforts. She joined the cbec California team by way of Massachusetts, where she initially discovered the joy of using math to describe real world phenomena while pursuing her education there. She holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Janice’s academic research centered around the relationships between soil characteristics and aqueous contaminant transport in groundwater. Janice’s software capabilities include HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and GeoDict. She is also fluent in Python and MATLAB, and has prior consulting experience in site design, construction, and field data collection. In her free time, Janice enjoys eating donuts, telling dad jokes, and playing outside.
