Lars Larson BS, EIT
As an ecohydrology technician at cbec, Lars Larson conducts a combination of field data collection and technical analyses supporting hydrology, hydraulics and geomorphology studies as well as restoration design efforts. Lars graduated with a BS in Ecological Engineering from Oregon State University, specializing in hydraulic modeling, watershed processes, and river engineering. Lars worked with the OSU Rivers Lab to create a hydraulic model for evaluating harmful algae bloom reduction at Ross Island in Portland, Oregon and researched sediment characteristics and secondary erosion following dam removal. He spent two years programming and developing a mobile greenhouse sensor package in the Openly Published Environmental Sensing (OPEnS) Lab. His software experience includes HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Python, C++, R, Fusion 360, EAGLE, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD.
