The Lower Yolo Ranch Tidal Restoration Project was recently highlighted in a press release from the California Department of Water Resources. The project restores a total of 1,682 acres of tidal marsh, and was a multi-agency effort between the DWR, Westlands, Department of Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and National Marine Fisheries Service. During the course of this project, which has spanned 13 years, cbec performed baseline studies and physical monitoring, evaluated the feasibility of multiple concepts aided by detailed hydrodynamic modeling, prepared final designs, and provided construction oversight. A big thank you to Hallmark group Group, ICF, and Four M Contracting, the on-the-ground firms that also helped make this project happen.
